ISO 9001:2000
Why ISO?
Larger organisations around the world in both the private and public sectors increasingly look for quality assured suppliers - including suppliers of legal services. ISO 9001:2000 is recognised worldwide as an independently audited quality system.
Quality management also protects your business from exposure to both strategic and operational risk.
For most solicitors in England and Wales, Lexcel is the best quality management framework. But what about law firms in other countries - even elsewhere in the UK? And what about the large city firms and boutiques who might feel hamstrung by Lexcel?
Now it is possible to have the best of both worlds - a quality system that achieves internationally recognised ISO certification, yet specially tailored to the unique needs of your firm - even if it is very specialised, handles high end corporate work or operates in multiple jurisdictions.
Choosing an ISO consultant
Before you consider engaging a consultant, ask them these four questions:
- Do you understand the legal profession, its markets, risks, culture and values?
Our answer: We have been deeply involved in helping solicitors for over ten years (including scores of quality management projects).
-
- Does your consultant have ISO expertise?
Our answer: We will provide a certified ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor.
-
- Does your consultant understand the complexities of running a business and introducing change?
Our answer: We will provide one of the UK's elite Chartered Directors.
-
- Is your consultant's organisation itself quality assured?
Our answer: We are ISO 9001:2000 certified.
The solution
You can use our unique combination of knowledge, skills and experience to help create a quality management system that gives you internationally recognised ISO certification and, at the same time, provides the very special risk and quality management tools needed by your particular law firm.
Your ISO system will not mimic Lexcel. It will be designed from scratch to address, at least as effectively, all the specific quality issues arising in your legal practice. Even "boutiques" can have a system tailored to their specific needs without having to follow pointless routines that might be essential in a general practice.
