About IIP

Introduced in the early 1990s, IIP has become the most successful framework for business improvement through people in the UK.

The standard provides a framework for improving your organisation's performance and competitiveness through a planned approach to setting and communicating business objectives - and developing people to meet these objectives.

Recent Improvements

In May 2009 IIP UK launched a new approach. As a result, the standard now focuses more on your priorities and ways in which to meet your organisation's specific objectives. There is also a greater emphasis on making sure you gain tangible benefits from your investment in learning and development.

Using IIP to improve your practice's performance

The Investors in People framework can complement Lexcel, QMS 4 LAW or ISO 9001:2008. IIP takes the ‘people management’ aspects of running your law firm or in-house legal team to a higher level.

The legal sector is different; not all IIP consultants understand that. We will provide an experienced consultant who is not only nationally registered with Investors in People but who also understands the special requirements of the legal sector - all you need to help your practice implement IIP and gain national recognition as an Investor in People.

We work to strict deadlines and offer fixed prices so you control the budget from the start.

Training for IIP

As authorised external CPD training providers, we can train your managers and staff to work in and maintain an IIP environment. Training needs vary from practice to practice, but can include topics like quality management familiarisation, team management and leadership, how to conduct appraisals, management accounts, web authoring and advanced Microsoft® Word.
